DL Design Studio were commissioned in 2022 to carry out a scheme to alter, extend and refurbish a redundant Victorian Mill, with a view to converting it to purpose built student accommodation.
After a positive pre-application enquiry, the scheme was polished and currently consists of 136 bedrooms, including a mix of studio’s and cluster units.
The new build elements have been designed to provide a home character to the living environment, whilst simple construction design will reduce build costs through efficiencies, not reduced quality.
The scheme is currently in for planning and a decision is expected June 2024.
